Colortec and Graphic carpets have been Cradle to Cradle Certified®

It is with great pleasure and pride that we can inform you that all our Colortec 80/20 and Graphic 80/20 carpets have been Cradle to Cradle Certified® making it easier for you to choose sustainably for your next project. With the certification, we prove to the world that we do our utmost to keep valuable materials in circulation, cut down on waste and harmful substances, take better care of our scarce resources, sustain the groundwater, reduce CO2 emissions, and ensure social fairness in our operations and value chain.

Colortec and Graphic were assessed in five categories. In the material utilization and social fairness categories, we qualified for Gold, while we achieved a Silver rating in the category renewable energy. In the two categories material health and water stewardship, the collections were rated Bronze which means, that overall, they were awarded a Bronze certificate.

We walk the talk when it comes to our sustainable ambitions, and this is just one step towards our ambitious 2030 sustainability strategy where one of our many goals is to achieve Cradle to Cradle certification at the highest Platinum level for all our carpets.

Our qualities now hold both the Cradle to Cradle and Indoor Air Comfort Gold certifications, so you are guaranteed a top performing flooring choice when it comes to protecting people and the planet. All certificates are available to download at egecarpets.com where you can also find great design tools to help you to visualise and document your next sustainable project.

We look forward to assisting you in your sustainable and beautiful marine projects and are here to help.

The idea behind Cradle to Cradle is that the Earth’s finite resources should not go to waste. They must be used in new contexts, with no detrimental effects on people or the environment. In other words, the goal is to eliminate waste.
